Results returned via email, usually within 2-4 business days. Depending on the courthouse accessed, if possible matching records are found, there may be a delay for the court to confirm and return any matching records.
Please Note: For each South Carolina county-level search requested, we search the General Sessions Court (which usually houses all felony records for the county) and the Circuit Court for that county (which houses many of the misdemeanor records for the county). Some counties also have a dozen or more Magistrate Courts, which house additional misdemeanor records. Because we can not search every Magistrate Court, it is possible that misdemeanor records from Magistrate Courts that are not reported to the higher courts will not show up on a county-level search.
Information returned for county-level criminal searches varies by area, but generally includes the defendant’s name, date-of-birth, case number, file date, offense charged, offense level (felony or misdemeanor), disposition date, disposition, and sentencing information. |
